International No Diet Day is Sunday, May 6th.  It began in 1992 by Mary Evans Young, the director of the British anti-diet campaign Diet Breakers and the author of a best-selling book in Britain titled Diet Breaking: Having It All Without Having To Diet (Hodder & Stoughton, 1995). So what does one do on No Diet Day?

As women, we spend an inordinate amount of time filling our brain cells with how “bad” we are in so many ways.  We’re not pretty enough, thin enough, good enough.  The truth is, you are more than enough – you are absolutely perfect.  You are deeply blessed with an intuitive sense that is there to serve you if you listen.  It’s the feeling in your gut when you “just know.”  It’s your most powerful, intangible life skill.

Today, listen to your intuition and celebrate a day free from dieting.  I’m not saying throw all caution to the wind and have yourself a big sit down:)  But if you can let go of the “weight” of the woman inside you who constantly berates herself, I guarantee you will feel lighter.

Enjoy the day – role model for a younger girl – bask in the glorious you! You are a powerful woman.  You only need to trust you are absolutely ENOUGH in this moment.
