The Holiday Rush…

Posted by: Rochelle In: Life

It’s been awhile since I’ve written…December feels a bit like a blur.  Thanksgiving through Christmas was filled with projects, family and friends. The quality time was fantastic but today I find myself a bit blue and unmotivated to do much of anything.  ‘Tis the season I guess.

I am inspired to organize for the new year.  2008 was wonderful in many ways.  The Yoga, Pilates and Maser Class series were incredibly moving for me this year.  To watch women come into their bodies, one molecule at a time, was truly inspiring.  From surgeries, to canes, to illness and layoffs, women still found their way to class and ultimately back to themselves.  Ahhh…this is the blessing of the season. :)

With a little more than 24 hours left in this year, I think I’ll spend the time prioritizing what needs to happen in order for me to bring this to a conclusion, and not a rush.  Rituals work very well for me at this time of the year.  Let me get working to create my New Years ritual.  I’ll keep you posted!

About Rochelle Rice

Rochelle Rice, MA, is a nationally-recognized speaker, author, and educator. She is the President of In Fitness & In Health and the creator of the Plus-Size Exercise Technique, which was designed based on her concerns about the inordinate stress put on thinness in our society, rather than fitness.

Rochelle dedicates herself to empowering women of size by connecting the body, the mind, and the heart through focus, movement, and breath. She is the author of Real Fitness for Real Women.

Rochelle is the President of Bryant Park Toastmasters in New York City, Area 33, Club 2895, and became only the 59th Accredited Speaker in the world at the Toastmasters International Convention in Palm Desert, California in August, 2010.
