Spring at last!

Posted by: Rochelle In: Life

Finally…the weather here in NYC has reached beautiful spring temperatures. The trees and flowers are in full bloom. So what are you waiting for? Get outside! Here are three tips to help you soak in Mother Nature.
1 - Hug a tree.  Really. (Or let your hand touch the bark). In NYC no passerby would think twice about you hugging a tree! Bonus? Hugging or touching the bark gives a deep grounding sensation based on the wonderful root system of the tree that burrows deep into the core of the earth.
2 – Stop and smell the roses! Really! Unless you have allergies, the smell of the hyacinth flower will be sure to please your senses. Wherever you live, I’m sure there are some pleasant flowering “somethings” that you could pause and notice. The olfactory system (smell) is directly connected to the central nervous system – thus the feeling of “pleasantness” throughout your entire body.
3 – See the sky. Look at the beautiful blue color, bright white clouds, twilight and sunset. Your world is aglow with color – a sense of hope and optimism by looking at the sky. Things will be “looking up!” ;)

Touch, smell and see…

Happy Spring!
