Too often we are focused on what is not working on our lives instead of celebrating what is working. The art of saying “great job” or “I did really well” to oneself may be a bit foreign to you, but a skill I highly recommend and invite you to flourish in.

Each time you self congratulate, every cell in your body has the chance to breathe in the celebration of what is working. This action creates space and breath within your body and gently irradicates the stress and chaos.

I had the wonderful opportunity to celebrate my Accredited Speaker title with my colleague, Karol Ward, who placed 2nd in the semi-finals for Toastmasters International Speech contest.  Karol and I both work with the body in our practices and it was a joy to celebrate our accomplishments together.  Special thanks to my club, Bryant Park Toastmasters and Karol’s club, SEC Rough Riders. Also a very special thanks to Elvis Newman for hosting the event at his fantastic Japanese restauant, Fuji Sushi.

So go ahead – self congratulate!  And breathe in the celebration…;)
