Relentless.  That’s what winter 2014 feels like.  Never ending gray skies and snow!  How do you move to grin and motivation when the temperatures (Midwest and Northeast at least!) make you keep your winter hat, gloves, scarves, boots and extra layers on?  Here are my three suggestions:

1 – Fake it ‘til you make it!  Smile.  That’s it.  Just smile!  There’s no way you’ll feel down and out if you move your facial muscles into a smile.  Really!  Its movement and ALL movement counts so go ahead – SMILE – and keep on smiling until SPRING and beyond!  You’ll make it!

2 – Clap along if you know what happiness is to you!  Listening to music can shift the gray skies to a grin!  The blues are an excellent genre to listen to to help you feel better.  Or be sure to listen to the Happy song by Pharrell Williams!  You’ll definately feel better!

Wishing you peace and strength as we move from gray to grin!
