You did it!

One year later and you’re still standing!
Bumped and bruised maybe – but hopefully in awe of some silver linings that gracefully appeared over these past 12 months.

How do you measure a year – especially this past one? How do you process all that has transpired in your life, in the country and in our world?

I decided I’m way overthinking this. WAY. I’m anxious trying to process everything that’s taken place these past 12 months as we bring “the year” to a close. At the same time, I’m managing the caution and excitement of vaccines and businesses reopening. Honestly? It’s too much. I’ve shifted from pushing all of this to be understood to flowing and letting things unfold as they need to.

Because of you, I tip my heart to all we achieved.

Tuesday, March 17, 2020 – 1st Zoom movement class with 7 women.
December 29, 2020 – 81st Zoom movement class with 25 women
Tuesday, March 16, 2021 – 102nd Zoom class TONIGHT with 25 women

I’ve written 49 weekly email campaigns each Tuesday over the past year, letting my heart flow.

We have positively impacted the lives of 17 individuals who received a financial boost from our community during these past 12 months. From dancers who lost their jobs performing to individual women who needed help with household or medical expenses. We have also contributed to to Moving Body Resources – a space in NYC where I have held classes in the past. Through your generosity, we have been able to ease the financial burden of others.

You showed up week over week. You provided me with structure, stability, faith, laughter and love. I made a commitment to be there on Zoom – never once thinking we’d be here one year later. Without you, I’m afraid every day may have become a Blurrday for me.

With the deepest gratitude, I say thank you.
I am a better person because of you.
I am a better teacher because of you.
I live with a full heart because of you.

May you step forward with grace and ease while managing all the emotions that may show up for you. May you live fully and love deeply knowing that your presence in this community has made a powerful impact not only in my life, but the lives of so many in our community. And may you trust deeply your relationship within – with kindness, compassion and love.

They say when we look back we will remember who was with us during this past year. Thank you for being by my side. I honestly couldn’t have done it without you.

With love and gratitude.
