Happy Valentine’s Day!
Love – a profoundly deep and tender feeling. It doesn’t cost anything, is available in all shapes and sizes, and is readily available if you open your heart!
Here are three points to keep in mind on this day of hearts.:)
Self-Care
If you are taking care of a child or loved one, you may be feeling stressed, burned out or exhausted. Or perhaps your work or personal life is feeling burdened. Now, more than ever, is the time to master the art of self-care. For some, this may mean a digital detox. For others, it may mean cancelling a few things to give yourself some time to breathe. For you, it may be speaking up and asking for support to solve a problem, get to an appointment or help with a chore.
Even with self-care, lead with love.
Friends and Family
Can you hear that? That’s the deafening silence of pain, heartache and depression. Many people are hurting and still suffering from the collateral damage of COVID shutdowns. They experience fear going into large gatherings, hesitation to attend events, or insecurity reaching out to another human being. On the days when you are feeling uplifted, consider sharing the love with a text, call or email to a friend or family member. Boost someone’s spirits and in turn you will receive the boost as well! Even in strife, lead with love.
World Wide
Our world continues to shift and change – making you feel at times perhaps a bit off balance. Stay steady with your breath, your balance exercises, your sleep, your nutrition, your mental health and your spiritual strength. This is our world – today and going forward. But there is much to be learned during this time. It is an incredible opportunity to be curious about who you are in the world and how you are interacting with others and communicating with an open heart.
Even in uncertainty, lead with love.
I remain hopeful, optimistic and filled with faith in what is possible for you as an individual and humans as a collective whole.
May you wrap yourself in kindness this Valentine’s Day.
Lead with love…and trust deeply.
