Thanksgiving. Breathe…eat. A wonderful time of the year to enjoy family and friends but the abundance of food can be overwhelming. So how do you make this year different? Add a little humor to the day by recognizing all movement as part of your Thanksgiving “workout.”
Reaching for plates, bowls, pans and dishes for food = increased range of motion! Down to and up from your chair = modified squats! Raising your fork or wine glass = bicep curls! Pushing yourself back from the table = bench press!
Increase your awareness over the course of the day by adding this humor to your activity. It may help to slow you down just enough to take a breath, feel your body and recognize you may not want to continue to a “food hangover” feeling on Friday. :)
