7 – Sleep. This is a secret that is grossly underestimated in it’s ability to HELP your body maintain weight. The challenge seems to be getting into the bed at night or turning off the TV. Consider creating a bedtime “ritual” for yourself. Tea, a good book, a candle…something to help you make that transition to rest so the internal organs can work at their optimum.
8 – Nourish you Heart. Too often we are depleted from giving, giving, giving and doing, doing, doing. What nourishes your heart? Friends, music, a walk in the park. Take the time to write a few things down so if you are “undernourished,” you’ll already have a list to chose from.
9 – Listen to Your Body. All of the suggestions so far mean listening to your body. If you continually overide the body’s signals, the entire system gets out of whack and can’t find center. Some women may argue they are too busy to listen. I argue, not listening could kill you.
