After standing in line for 4+ hours at the Biggest Loser Audition for Trainers, here is what I learned (or was reminded of) by observing people’s behavior…

Top 3 Secrets for Weight Management:

1 – Eat Breakfast!  Ladies…this is a MUST!  No matter how stressed, excited, or forgetful you may be, this secret must be adhered to!  If you had a late night binge (finished eating around 10pm before going to sleep) then be sure to eat SOMETHING by 10am if not sooner to get your body on track for the day!  Irractic eating is one of the greatest culprits when it comes to weight and metabolism.  No matter how the night before went down, don’t skip breakfast.

2 – Pee when you need to!  Shockingly, a number of women IGNORE the signals of their body when it comes time to eliminate.  You are either “too busy,” the bathroom is too far away or too filthy, or, or, or…!  Overiding your body’s natural signals of elimination makes you even more deaf to some of the other parts of the body that may be talking – even positively! 

3 – MOVE YOUR BODY!  OK – this may be a given and a no brainer, but I was in line for 4+ hours and many people never even moved from their location.  We had all become “friends” in this New York moment so certainly no one was going to take your spot if you left to go walk around the block.  You become somewhat “bonded” waiting in line for an event like this. :)  You have to move your body, and you have to be present in your body while you are moving.  Say to yourself, “I’m moving my body.  I’m walking.  I’m climbing stairs.  I’m walking around the grocery store.”  MOVE…please. :)
