It’s a great month for fundraising walks and events. This month, two of our members will be walking to raise funds for great causes.
Sarah Richards will be doing the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on Columbus weekend. The money she raises will be managed and disbursed by the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade to help provide access to care for those that most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures.

4. Choose My Name from the list (I’m walking in NY).

Heather McDonald is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Light The Night Walk, Saturday, October 3rd at Light House Point Park, in New Haven, CT. Heather’s brother-in-law, Michael, was diagnosed with stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on March 27, 2009. He has undergone 6 grueling rounds of chemotherapy; each one administered over 6 days in the hospital, followed by 2 long weeks of recovery.
