I had the privilege of standing there, tears streaming down my face, while Officer Mora’s hearse passed. Officers Rivera and Mora were gunned down responding to a domestic violence call here in NYC.
One decision I made since the surgery was to walk each day - for both physical and mental health reasons. Honestly, there were days I just didn't want to walk.
The most sacred relationship you have is the one within yourself. Yet, many days I'm still ignoring it. How do you nourish the relationship within?
As part of my healing process, I've decided to stay in the country with less noise, less distraction, and less overall stimulation. I have been walking each day to get outside, steady myself and regulate any anxiety that may bubble up about this shift in limited movement.
Happy New Year dear friends! 10 days since Christmas and here I am! On the other side of eye surgery sporting my wrap around shades. :) What a journey this has been!
